The best standards are maintained very good .
Very good faculty with all requirements available to diagonise patients. Excellent service.
On the basis at this difficult time no masks, no temperature checking and no sanitizer which there never has been.
having been in hospital many times this is the dirtiests one of all.
I was attending the hospital for a hemi-thyroidectomy and every member of staff who I came into contact with over the two days I was in the hospital were friendly, approachable and caring. The pre-assessment team in Chanctonbury Ward, the anaesthetic team, the nurses in Recovery and the nursing team and catering team on Chiltington Ward.
Nothing was too much trouble, from helping me go the the bathroom to suggesting foods that would be easier to eat following the operation.
The hospital was very busy and I was only there for a short time but it was only to recover from the operation and ensure I was medically okay to leave, so I could continue to recover at home. I found I didn't get much sleep as other patients on the ward were noisy during the night so I just wanted to get home to sleep properly. The hospital is there for emergency purposes and isn't a recuperation facility or hotel.
I felt very comfortable in the hospital and the staff were amazing, they were cheerful and looked after me very well. I would definitely recommend Worthing Hospital to all my friends and family.
Patients are not the enemy ! I am saddened by the way SOME nursing staff feel it is okay to talk to patients in such a brusque and dismissive manner. Patients don't want to be in hospital ! They are unwell and quite often frightened and kindness and a bit of patience costs nothing. We are all agreed that the system is pushed to its limits at present but it's not the Patient's fault ! As a relative visiting I witnessed this especially with elderly patients. Stop speaking to them as if they all have dementia as then norm. We will ALL be old one day !
Would not have to use this very efficient hospital, however, they made the treatment as stress free as possible despite a global pandemic & political constraint.
Thank you everyone
You are all very good at what you do, & very kind.
no one gets back to you when they say they will and in the a and e department i was very badly treated by a nurse that was bought down from the stroke ward
have now been diagnosed with seizures and my eeg report now seems to have gone missing and i am getting the run around why and when i can see the neurologist to see results and the need for my medication to be altered.
had to go back to my local doctor in the hope that he will be able to sort out something that the hospital is unable to do. very bad experiance
Felt very comfortable being there, safe and was a clean environment to be in.
Referred by GP on 2 week wait suspected gi. cancer 23/6/21.Contacted by appointments 7/7/21 offering me telephone consultation with colorectal consultant on 14/7/21.
Receptionist is incredibly rude and not willing to assist with patient queries.
Eg. Simple time frame questions to allow people to inform relatives who are waiting.
She is dismissive, condescending and utterly rude.
